“And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.” – Colossians 3:15

Peace is characterized by being free from commotion, oppression, or disorder. The dictionary defines peace as “free from war and strife, and untroubled by conflict or agitation.” Peacefulness is a condition of being; in other words, peace is something that can be attained, experienced, and maintained for the long run.

As a follower of Jesus, peace is something that is promised to you when you allow Jesus to have full reign in your heart and over your life, just as Colossians 3:15 instructs. What’s incredible about this verse is that it says peace will rule in you and flow into other relationships!

This is God’s will for your life: that you will experience peace and be marked by peace, not just in this season, but in every season of your life!
