Our theme for this month’s Faithbox is all about gratitude! It’s our prayer that as you enjoy these pieces, you will be reminded of all the many blessings you receive each day. We know that every good gift comes from the Lord, and we hope you continue recognizing God’s fingerprints on your life—and feel filled to the brim with His goodness as you thank Him daily!
GRATITUDE
Hey Faithbox Family,
When we look at the world around us, it’s easy to point out all the unfair, terrible, inhumane, sad, heartbreaking circumstances and situations that happen—whether to us, to loved ones, or to strangers. There are days when it feels easier to count bad things than blessings. This tendency stands in stark contrast with what the Gospel asks of us—to be people abundant in gratitude and praise to God.
Counting our blessings and staying grateful is an effective tool for resisting the urge to sink into despair at the number of tragedies that take place in our world daily. This devotional lays out scriptures, practices, and prayers to help orient ourselves toward being grateful for all the goodness in our lives. Giving thanks to God is the first and foremost practice of gratitude—after all, “Every good and perfect gift is from above.” (James 1:17)
Are you in a season where you’re feeling heartbroken, worried, or let down? Or maybe you’re desperately praying for something that hasn’t come yet, which makes it hard for you to be grateful for what you have now? Or maybe God is simply challenging you to remember Him each day by making an effort to really see the good He has blessed you with?
Whatever season you are in, it’s our prayer that this devotional empowers you and allows you to recognize God’s blessings in your life and feel gratitude for them, so you may go out into the world and be a blessing to others!

This item is made my Asha Handicrafts, which is a not-for-profit organization, based in Mumbai, that ensures craftsmen are never exploited by large producers and moneylenders. As members of the World Fair Trade Organization, Asha Handicrafts works together with Global Crafts to promote Fair Trade and Fair Trade practices, and ensures that the benefits of handicraft production reach the craftspeople themselves.

These artisans have been working with brass wire items for the last 10-12 years. Through this work, they can offer their family a stable lifestyle and provide good education for their children.
Matr Boomie began in 2006 with the mission of creating opportunities for women and minorities to realize their creative, economic, and leadership potential. Matr Boomie is an organization committed to honoring the planet by using only sustainable materials and creating jobs for rural artisans while doing so. Through their fair trade partnership, artisans are gaining economic stability and future generations can enjoy a more fruitful life.

Spiritual Inventory
Our Spiritual Inventory Card is intended to help you get the most out of your faith by being able to track how you’re growing and where you’re going. As you start the new month, take time to reflect on each area and identify where you are doing well and where you can commit a little more focus.
Time with God: More than anything, a relationship with God is exactly that: a relationship. This area focuses on the ways you connect with God. It can include things like prayer, scripture reading, meditation, and reflection.
Relationships: You have been placed in the lives of others to make a difference! Take time each month to consider who God has placed in your life, how those relationships are developing, and what your role is to make a positive impact in their lives.
Generosity: Generosity is at the heart of who God is and all that He does. This area is about the opportunities you have to make a positive impact financially. No matter how large or small, giving financially to an organization or person in need makes an impact.
Serving: A life that’s moving forward is a life that is concerned with the needs of others. In this area of focus, consider where or how you can get involved to serve others in your life, your church, and your community.
