Stay true.
Our Authentic Selves – Reflections on What We Believe
David Hampton
For most of his life, David Hampton prided himself on how well he knew Christian doctrine. But eventually, a switch flipped inside of him, and he was no longer living true to his authentic self. He soon came to realize; we can never be honest with others until we are honest with ourselves.
In his new book, Our Authentic Selves, he helps readers down the same journey he once went on. With wisdom and encouragement, he’ll help peel back the layers of your heart and leave you transformed, filled with God’s truth, and a transparent follower of Christ who is learning to distinguish what you believe from what you wish you believed.
David Hampton is a credentialed Certified Professional Addiction/Recovery Coach (CPRC) now working in private practice in the greater Nashville area. As a member of the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) and the International Association of Professional Recovery Coaches (IAPRC), he works closely with Nashville area treatment centers across the United States, as well as private coaching, nonprofit organizations, family groups, transitional living facilities, and those whose recovery stories include religious trauma. David co-hosts the popular Positive Sobriety Podcast as well as being the author of a second book, After the Miracle: Illusions Along the Path to Restoration (Morgan James/New York).
